Description: Large Outstanding and Rare Quartered Oak Triple Sectional Folding Screen with a deeply carved shell crest in the center panel. One of the most amazing features of this piece are the incredibly turned long spindles. Notice the intricacy of their form and they all are intact! There is unusual and beautiful open scroll work with laminated carvings and raised beveled panels surrounded by elaborate picture frame moldings. Please review photos for details. The original heavy brass hinges allow the screen to be angled in a multitude of positions. This is one of the BEST screens we have offered for sale in exceptional original condition, form, and finish!
